Barit

Coloring:
Micronized barite powder with chemical formula Baso4 with low moisture absorption and high specific gravity is used in the chemical industry, liquid paint, powder, polymer. Colorless and powdered barite can be used as a filler in paint. In addition, it is used in the preparation of lithopone or white pigments that contain 70% barium sulfate and 30% zinc sulfide and are formed by the reaction of barium sulfide with zinc sulfate.
The most common use of barite is for coating grades in the paint industry. This chemical compound does not have any undesirable pigment effect and acts as a coating resistant to the opening of filled cracks to complete the uniform distribution of colored particles and to strengthen the properties of this compound.
Barium sulfate and fine-grained barite are also used as bulking agents for waterproof paints, especially those that require a high level of gloss and minimal color distortion. The high refractive index of these materials allows them to act as translucent white pigments in latex paints, providing a moderate degree of coating strength while having minimal effect on the initial pigment.
Medicinal:
Barite is one of the industrial minerals used in the pharmaceutical, radiology, and medical industries.
How barite works in the pharmaceutical industry is the contrast medium for X-ray experiments (the radiographic contrast medium of K contains elements with high atomic numbers that absorb X-rays).
